Happy Sunday 💛🌟

Yesterday at the Women of Substance @w.o.s_christain_network “A Date with Abba conference” where I was asked to speak on the topic “finding your voice after brokenness”, a participant asked a question around purpose and that feeling that perhaps you’re not doing enough of what God has called you to do.

As I was responding, I found myself saying something I think many of us need to hear today.

We put so much pressure on ourselves.

Yes God puts something in your heart, but before we know we’ve added our own timetable, our expectations and ideas of what it should look like.

Then when we don’t keep up with those expectations, we start wondering if we’re failing.

But who is keeping score?

Faithfulness and consistency is so important. But so does understanding the season you’re in.

You can carry several things and not have to give all of them the same attention at the same time.

Something being part of your purpose doesn’t mean it has to be your main focus right now.

So maybe instead of constantly feeling you’re not doing enough and asking, “Am I doing enough?”

Maybe the question you need to ask is

“God, what would You have me do in this season?”

Have you ever walked into a room and, within minutes, felt yourself relax?

Nobody has given you a pep talk. But somehow, you know you don’t have to work so hard to be accepted there.

Well that happened to me today. I was invited to FCI Edinburgh to lead worship, and from the moment I arrived, the reception was so warm.

I felt welcomed. And I noticed something happening in me. I relaxed.

I wasn’t overthinking myself or wondering how I was coming across. I could simply be Eloho and lead worship.

On my way back home, I just kept thinking about it.

People really do flourish differently depending on the environment they are in.

You can be confident and capable and still find yourself shrinking in certain spaces.

Then you enter another room where you feel welcomed, accepted and free to be yourself, and something opens up.

You speak more freely. You give more. You stop second-guessing yourself.

You flourish.

And it made me think about the environments we create too. Our homes. Workplaces. Churches. Friendships. Teams.

What comes alive in people when they are around us?

Today reminded me that sometimes one of the greatest gifts we can give another person is simply room to be themselves and flourish. #thoughtsoftheday #yourenvironmentmatters #happysunday

How much of what we think we know about people is actually assumption?

We see a moment, a decision, a change in direction, a silence, and sometimes fill in the rest ourselves.

And perhaps we do the same with our own lives. We look at where we are today and decide what it means for tomorrow.

But we’re still in the middle of the story.

I had something completely different planned for today. But sometimes you have to stop and pay attention to what’s happening around you.

We really don’t know what people are carrying behind the smiles, the work, the achievements and the everyday “I’m fine.”

So today, check on your people. Especially the ones who always seem strong.

And if life feels heavy for you right now, please talk to someone. You don’t have to carry everything alone.

Happy Sunday! What a weekend. 🤩🌟💛

I’ve just come home from Dudley, where I was a panellist at The Total Woman Conference 2.0, Unveiled, hosted by @prayingwivesconnect .

During our panel, I was asked how my different roles began and what God has taught me along the way.

Truth is, I didn’t have it all figured out. I still don’t. 😂

But looking back, I can see a thread.

Years ago, I received a word of prophecy that God was going to give me a voice. At the time, I thought it meant my singing voice. I was in the choir, singing and making music, so it made perfect sense.

Now I understand it very differently. My voice has become a way to communicate, encourage, speak up for others and create platforms where other people, their messages and their work can be heard.

From organising concerts to releasing music and leading worship to broadcasting, writing, speaking, personal branding and leading @adelpheconnect, each season has revealed another part of it.

The thread that ties it all together?

Voice 🎤🎤🎤

And one thing God has taught me is that we don’t always have the full picture. Sometimes we just need to take the next step.

I always tell my clients this : clarity comes from taking action.

2 Corinthians 3:18 the anchor scripture at “Unveiled” reminds us that we “are being transformed… with ever-increasing glory.”

We’re still becoming. So if the pieces don’t quite make sense yet, keep going. Be faithful with what’s in your hands. Take the next step. Do it afraid.

It was so good connecting with my mama Pastor Chy @chinelodillimono and Pastor @tomitoluhi and gleaning from their wisdom.

I went to share and came home reflecting on my own journey.
